When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public alongside your comment.
3. Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from images.
4. Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter them next time. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie will be set to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we set up cookies to save your login info and screen preferences. Login cookies last 2 days, screen settings cookies last 1 year. Selecting “Remember Me” will keep your login active for 2 weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved that includes the post ID. It contains no personal data and expires in 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content behaves the same as if the visitor has visited the external site.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
7. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, it and its metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize follow-up comments automatically.
For registered users (if any), we store the personal info they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their data anytime (except username). Site admins can also access and edit that data.
8. What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on our site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data, or request deletion of that data.
This does not include data we’re required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
